  • Join in the Global Discussion of A New Paradigm for School Health Promotion in the 21st Century. Please read and comment on the draft statement. This dialogue invites all proponents and authorities who are engaged or concerned with models such as Health Promoting Schools, Coordinated School Health, Comprehensive School Health and School Health & Nutrition to participate in this important renewal process. We recognize and will build upon the work and revisions made in several countries and by many organizations, practitioners, experts and officials. We hope that we can all learn more from each other as this process proceeds. This global dialogue will include webinars, workshops in several parts of the world, the publication of an e-book and other activities.

  • Read and Comment on our Analysis of Current Monitoring Efforts on UN Goal #4 and Target 4.7 (Education)
Read a draft analysis of the current work being done by various UN agencies to monitor student learning and access to schooling as part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Despite our success in 2015-16 to have health and wellness included in these goals, the various indicators being developed are not reflective of the declarations and action frameworks adopted by member countries. In particular, health, personal and social development (HPSD) education is getting the attention required.

  • Read and Comment on the Summary Statement on School Health & Nutrition Programs in Low Resource Countries
ISHN has been co-organizing a series of webinars with other members of the FRESH Partnership, a collaboration among UN agencies, donors and INGO's. Thus includes Plan International (UK) which is working with ISHN to prepare several summaries of the research and better practices. We invite your comments by clicking on this web link to the draft summary. Use the Google tools to make your comments and suggestions.
